Booklist - Useful Reading

'After the Rehearsal' by Jill Grey.

ISBN-13: 978-0755216574 £6.99. ebook also available.

Review:
As someone who works with people with dementia and their carers, I found 'After the Rehearsal' a deeply affecting account of the challenges of this cruel disease. The book is written with an approachable and engaging touch which gives the reader a strong sense of the love and affection within this family as they face up to the changes in their lives. Jill's clear message is that while dementia changes so much in relationships people can still find ways to enjoy life with the support of friends, family and services. Jill's story should encourage people to come forward for diagnosis and then find their way to services that can be a genuine support to them and, more particularly, their carers.
