Depression and the pandemic: ONS report out showing ‘concerning’ information on the rates of depression….Findings show an est. one in five adults have said they experienced some form of depression during the coronavirus pandemic – the rate doubling on pre-pandemic rates. But people are not necessarily seeking medical help. The new data shows the number of GP-diagnosed cases of adult depression falling at the start of the pandemic,- whilst on the other hand, depression is accounting for greater share of diagnoses by GPs.
