Too busy to sit and chill
Too busy for a rest
Until it all comes crashing
down
Exhausted and
depressed
Feeling guilty and
ashamed
Cos you’re not
invulnerable
We don’t ask that of
others
And that’s half the trouble
We act like we should be
Superman or Wonder
Woman

Till tired and confused by
A foggy head a-comin’
Instead of taking the hint
Lift that foot up off the
gas
We double down and
struggle
Till we tumble on our ass

Misty in the brainspace
Uncertain in the head
Foggy in the frontal lobe
You need some time in
bed
It doesn’t mean that you
are weak
Or you’ve failed in your
mission
We are only human so
please give yourself
