Summary of aims & objectives:

4Winds exists to provide an open-access, user led mental health resource service for people living in Cardiff and surrounding areas. We promote recovery through provision of recovery focussed support, information and opportunities for involvement.

Aims

To redress the social exclusion and disempowerment often faced by people living in Cardiff and surrounding areas who are experiencing / have experienced mental health difficulties.

To promote the recovery of people experiencing mental health difficulties. We believe that everyone has a right to reach their potential and to lead fulfilling lives within the community.

 

Services:

4Winds is an independent, user led mental health resource service working to improve mental health and wellbeing in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

We provide a range of recovery focussed services including emotional and practical support, opportunities for social contact and peer support, information, signposting and social prescribing, training courses, vocational support, women only support and a guided self help service.  We are currently delivering a mix of remote and in person support.  Please visit our website www.4winds.org.uk for updates and more information or contact us on:

4Winds is currently playing its part in reducing the spread of Coronavirus (COVID 19) and is still delivering the majority of its services remotely. The centre will remain closed for open access groups until it is safe for people using it and working there. We are returning to our office base and are starting to offer 1:1 sessions in person. We also facilitate outdoor peer support sessions and activities in the community. Please contact us for details.
