Aims & Objectives

 

We work with people who are experiencing challenges with their mental health,
and with communities who want to create a greater sense of connection,
ownership, and wellbeing in the places that they live.

 

In the Vale of Glamorgan, we offer a range of services to meet the requirements
of anyone struggling with their mental health and tenancy needs.

 

 We offer a 24-hour supported accommodation project that supports
individuals with their mental health and tenancy needs, with the aim of
living independently in the community.

 

 Supported accommodation housing projects with staff on site Mon-Fri 9-
5pm. We offer accommodation with support for up to two years. Our
projects help people prepare to live independently and move into their
own home.

 

 Vale dispersed scheme – Supported accommodation in self-contained
flats managed by Platfform for up to two years. Receiving tenancy
support by Platfform to build skills to live independently and mental
health support from the health boards IRIS Team.

 

 We also offer tenancy support – For anyone with mental health struggling
with tenancy issues or need help keeping their home.

 

 Housing support and advice – We have a drop-in service for anyone
needing support or advice with any housing need. Located at Barry
hospital -Mental health department. Colcot Road, Barry, CF62 8YH. Or
available to phone at any time with any questions on 01446 732494.

We support anyone over the age of 18.

 

 

Our services are for people with mental health who require tenancy support.
Referrals must be made for our services. Please contact the office for more
information.

 

 

 

Services

 

Supported accommodation projects based in Barry and Penarth –
Vale of Glamorgan.
Support for up to two years to build daily living skills including
finance and budgeting, benefit maximisation, volunteering
options, education and learning prospects, debt management,
social inclusion, cooking skills, housekeeping skills and setting
goals and aspirations.
This prepares for independent living in the community when
moving into their own home.

 

Referrals

Referrals can be made via the Local authority, GPs, Mental health
professionals and housing drop in centres located in Barry.
