Coming Home: Sharing Veterans’ Mental Health Stories

Coming Home is an exhibition of life stories told through unique comic and cartoon-based artwork produced by veterans alongside life story practitioners, arts professionals and Cardiff University researchers.

Captured online during the Covid pandemic, a group of veterans shared their stories and insight into rarely discussed aspects of their experience. Veterans were supported to share and adapt their often traumatic narrative, and work with a professional cartoonist to create a finished story.

This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 9–18 November 2023.

A partnership event between Amgueddfa Cymru and Cardiff University
