Platfform – the Hangout

Registered charity number: 1000889

The Hangout is a wellbeing & mental health service for young people in Cardiff and the Vale aged 11-18. Our aim is simple: be somewhere where young people can connect with others, feel part of their community and access mental health support

Services

We offer drop-in and booked 1-1 wellbeing support, wellbeing-focused activity sessions, general activity sessions, signposting and volunteering opportunities.

We’re open Monday to Friday (including bank holidays), 3pm-9pm and Saturday and Sunday 12 – 6 for prebooked one to one sessions at 3A Tynewydd Road Barry CF62 8HB. We’re an out of hours service so that we can make sure that young people have access to mental health and wellbeing support when they need it.

Everything we do is designed by young people, for young people. This means that the space, activities and services provided by the Hangout have all been coproduced to make sure that the support on offer works.
