Mental Health Services for Older People provides specialist mental health care and treatment to an older people population of 47,000 in the City of Cardiff and 24,200 in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Purpose of the Service:
The MHSOP Directorate upholds the principle of person centred care in all of its services and supports staff to provide dignified and respectful care that meets assessed individual needs, supports choice and enhances well being. The Senior Directorate Team works to ensure that the highest quality care and treatment is provided within services and that it is delivered in the safest, most clinically effective and compassionate manner.
